THE AIC STANDARDS FRAMEWORK

A Unified Architecture for Intelligent-System Governance

The AIC Standards Framework is a developing suite of international standards designed to support the governance, security, interoperability, and continuous assurance of intelligent systems. Developed through an evidence-based approach, the framework addresses organizational accountability, AI risk management, system lifecycle integrity, cybersecurity, and emerging technologies. AICI's objective is to establish practical, measurable requirements that help organizations demonstrate responsible AI development, deployment, and ongoing operational assurance.
AI Enablement | Interoperability | Continuous Assurance The AICI International Standards Suite is being developed to support the responsible advancement of artificial intelligence and emerging intelligent technologies. Built upon three foundational pillars, AI Enablement, Interoperability, and Continuous Assurance, the framework seeks to establish consistent, machine-verifiable approaches to governance, system integration, risk management, lifecycle accountability, and human oversight. Together, these developing standards aim to help organizations innovate responsibly, demonstrate measurable assurance, and maintain operational trust across evolving technological environments.

STANDARDS DEVELOPMENT STATUS

The AIC Standards Framework and its supporting frameworks are currently in development. AICI is establishing the governance principles, technical requirements, assurance methodologies, and conformity assessment approaches that will inform future standards publications. The descriptions presented here are preliminary and do not constitute finalized standards, certification requirements, accreditation, or regulatory approval. Future publications will identify their applicable scope, version, approval status, and effective date.
